The Grey Cliffs Ranch offers outdoor enthusiasts over 5,000 acres of scenic Montana landscapes. The Ranch provides amazing backdrops for some of the best pheasant and chuckar partridge hunting around. Our hunting preserve consists of native grasslands, and irrigated crop fields divided by rocky, tree lined canyons that soar above the Madison River. Breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the lower Madison River await each step. Grey Cliffs Ranch has reclaimed much of its land back to native grasses. We actively manage our lands to benefit upland bird habitat. We release birds throughout the season to supplement the native populations, and with releasing hens as well as roosters many hold over birds propagate naturally creating an exciting hunting experience. During the regular Montana state upland bird season guests are welcome to take wild Hungarian Partridge that are flushed until their legal limit is full. There are no harvest limits on released pheasants and chuckar partridge on the preserve. Fully guided hunts are available with knowledgeable local guides and well trained dogs. Guests are welcome to bring their own dogs for the hunt as well. Customized cast and blast packages are available. Picture a morning of pheasant and chuckar hunting, lunch at the ranch, then fishing on the private ponds for an afternoon fighting the big rainbows. If a multiple day adventure on the rivers and in the fields is what you are looking for, we can customize an unforgettable trip. A very limited number of guests are on the property to manage hunting pressure and guest experience.
